FoodShare and Pandemic EBT can now be used to get food online; here's what we know so far

This is a pilot program, that means it is being tested to see how well it works.  If people find it useful, more states will allow online food orders.  If it doesn't work well, they will end the program.

Wisconsin residents can use their QUEST Card or P-EBT Card to purchase food from either Amazon or Walmart online.

Getting started:

The following directions should help you get started with online shopping.  Let us know if you need help, and we can walk you through it.

  1. Go to either Amazon or Walmart.

  2. Set up an account.  (You can have accounts and use the same card for both online stores)

  3. Choose the EBT payment option.

  4. Enter your QUEST or P-EBT card information

  5. When you are done shopping, you will be asked to enter your cards PIN before checking out.

  6. If you get anything that is not an approved purchase (see website below), you will have to pay for it in another way, usually the online store will ask for a credit or debit card.

The following website lists everything you can buy using your card:

If you have trouble with your card you can call 1-877-415-5164 for help or to see how much money is on your card.

Delivery Options

  • Amazon can deliver food to your home.

  • Walmart can deliver food and you can also pick your order up from a nearby store.  Usually you do not have to pay shipping for store pick-up.

Both Walmart and Amazon may charge you a delivery fee.  These cannot be paid with your QUEST or P-EBT card.  They will not send you anything until the delivery fee is paid.
